National Information, Security, and Geospatial Technology Consortium (NISGTC) expanded the Business and Industry Leadership Team (BILT) model, a model designed to connect community colleges with employers. The model goes beyond the advisory role of employers – employers lead the discussion, providing immediate, operational assistance—for example, with internships (both live and virtual)—and strategic direction in current and future trends, creating real-time impact on the ability of colleges and the workforce system to meet the needs of the workforce.
